Useless Bay Golf Shop is a full service golf pro shop.  We provide professional service to more than 500 Useless Bay Golf & Country Club Members and their guests as well as the surrounding Whidbey Island community. 

Course Specifications

Our course is playable year round. Blane Hezel our Greens Superintendent and Greens Crew are committed to providing the members and their guests a well manicured course.

Useless Bay's course is played from 4 different tee boxes, all offering a good, stiff challenge. From the blue tees, the course is 6454 yards and has a 71. rating with a slope rating of 125. From the white tees the course plays at 6141 yards and is 70.3/123 on the slope rating. The gold tees play to 5617 yards with a rating of 67.8/117. From the red tees it is 5529 yards with a slope rating of 72.4/123.

Course Scorecard

Men's Course Record is currently held by Mike Struss and Grant Lancaster with a score of 64. 
Women’s Course Record is currently held by Robin Sumrall who shot a 72 (2 under par for women) in 2009!

Course Availability

The Golf Shop is open 7 days a week. 

Monday-10 am to 7:00 pm--Tee times begin at 11 am.
Tuesday through Sunday-7:00 am to 7:00 pm--Tee times begin at 7 am.

Driving range is open until 6:00 pm daily.

Cart Barns close at 7:30 pm daily.

Golf Carts & Storage

The Golf Shop provides complimentary pull carts for our members & guests. Electric carts are available for rent.

The Club has approximately 180 secure cart storage spaces for members' private carts. These storage spaces are available at a monthly rental fee.

Locker Rooms

The Club has both Men's and Women's Locker Rooms with showers, fresh linens and cosmetic amenities. Both locker rooms have large and small lockers available for annual and semi-annual rental.

Golf Course Dress Code

This includes the golf course, putting green and driving range. All attire should be clean and in good repair. Attire should be appropriate and in good taste.

Men (all ages):
Shirts with sleeves and collars, turtlenecks, mock turtlenecks and golf crews are appropriate. Golf slacks, jeans, golf shorts, and tailored warm-ups are appropriate. Cut-offs, short-shorts and undershirts are not appropriate.

Women (all ages):
Golf shirts, blouses, turtlenecks, mock turtlenecks and t-shirts are appropriate. Golf slacks, jeans, golf shirts, skorts, shorts and tailored warm-ups are appropriate. Bare midriffs, cut-offs and short-shorts are not appropriate.

It is the responsibility of the member to abide by and to inform their Guest of the dress code. It is the responsibility of Club Management to enforce the dress code in the event the code is in question
